*After Friday, August 21, onsite registration fees will apply, at $50 additional per attendee.
** Nonmembers who register for ISEE20 will receive one year of free ISEE membership starting in August 2020.
***Day rate does not include the cost of reception at the National Portrait Gallery. Day rates are offered for only one-day attendance.
The full conference registration fee includes access to the following:
- All conference sessions (excluding pre-conference workshops)
- All poster sessions
- Coffee/Tea breaks
- Lunches Monday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 26
- Welcome reception on Sunday, August 23
- National Portrait Gallery conference reception (not included in Day Rate fees)
You can opt out of the National Portrait Gallery conference reception at time of registration. If you choose to opt out, $80.00 will be deducted from the registration fee. A limited number of reception tickets will be available for purchase onsite beginning Sunday, August 23, 2020 for $125.00.
The ISEE 2020 Conference is offering a reduced registration fee to students enrolled in an accredited college or university program.
Students for whom tuition is paid for or reimbursed by an employer are not eligible for discounted registration.
During the registration students need to upload a student I.D. card.
Early Career (Post Doc)
The ISEE 2020 Conference is offering a reduced registration fee to early career researchers with less than 5 years of experience from their terminal degree.
The ISEE 2020 Conference is offering a reduced registration fee to residents of developing countries. Countries classified as developing countries for this purpose are those whose economies are listed by the World Bank as “Developing,” “Lower Middle Income,” or “Upper Middle Income” in the World Bank list of economies .
Delegates must be residing, working and be employed in a developing country to qualify for the reduced rate. We will also gladly accept registrations at full rates from residents of these countries who have sufficient resources.
If you are an ISEE member, please enter your email associated with your ISEE membership account to register. Your ISEE account number will pre-populate in registration. If you are a member and the system is not recognizing your email, please contact email@example.com for assistance.
Note: ISEE members must be in good standing at the time of the conference to receive the membership rate. If your membership lapses from the time of registration through the conference dates, you will be notified to either renew or be charged the balance between the member and full meeting rates at onsite registration.
The pre-conference courses will be offered on Sunday, August 23. If you wish to attend, please make your selections during online pre-registration .
We encourage all attendees to plan to use the conference app for all pertinent information and to access daily agendas. However, if you would like a printed program, it will be available for purchase only during online pre-registration. The cost is $40.00 per program, which will be printed in black and white.

For online registration we accept payments by credit card. Registration payment must be made at time of registration. If you have any questions regarding payment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
- Notification of cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to the ISEE2020 Conference Secretariat
- For cancellations received up to and including 28 June 2020, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged
- For cancellations received on and after 29 June 2020, no refund will be given
- Name changes are not accepted, unless the participant is from the same company
- All refunds will be processed after the event
Travel and Health Insurance
It is strongly recommended that participants take out insurance to cover loss (including registration fees) incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses and damage to or loss of personal effects. The organizers of the ISEE2020 Conference will not be responsible for any medical costs incurred by participants. George Washington University and the Local Host Committee will not accept liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or as a result of the congress.
The Local Host Committee and George Washington University act as agents only in securing hotels, transport and travel services and in no event shall be liable for acts or defaults in the event of injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any kind whatsoever during arrangements organized through contractors or the employees of such contractors in carrying out services. Hotel and transportation services are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are offered to the public in general. The Local Host Committee reserves the right to make changes when deemed necessary, without prior notice to parties concerned. All disputes are subject to the US law.
Cancellation of the Conference
It is mutually agreed that in the event of total or partial cancellation of the congress due to fire, strike, natural disaster (either threatened or actual), government regulations or unforeseen causes which would prevent its scheduled opening or continuance, the contractual relationship between ISEE2020 and the participant will be terminated immediately and ISEE2020 shall determine an equitable basis for the eventual refund of a portion of the registration or other fees after due consideration of expenditures and commitments already made. Under no circumstances is ISEE2020 responsible for any participant expenses (such as travel and lodging) or any other incidental or consequential damages.
